Bite Adjustment

A bite adjustment is a quick and painless in-office procedure to remove tiny interferences that keep teeth from coming together properly. If your teeth are not aligned properly, “malocclusion”, it may affect you in several ways.

An abnormal bite may develop TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorder), a painful condition that makes it difficult to chew or talk. Misaligned teeth may create extra spaces where food particles, plaque, and bacteria can fester, resulting in cavities and contributing to gum disease. If the bite is not evenly distributed, exposed teeth are at risk of chipping, fracture, or become loose, resulting in pain and tooth loss. If left untreated, chronic migraine headaches or pains in your jaw and neck may result from malocclusion.
